OTHER SPATIAL PROGRAMS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF REDLANDS
The Center or Spatial Studies is one aspect of the spatially-related programming and activities at the University of Redlands. We work closely with our colleagues in the Center for Business GIS and Spatial Analysis, Institute for Spatial and Economic Analysis, Master of Science in Geographic Information Systems Program, and the Redlands Institute to advance our goal of creating and cultivating a spatially-infused learning community.
The Center for Business GIS and Spatial Analysis in the School of Business (GISAB) seeks to stimulate and support GIS and spatial analysis for business and economics research and education. It seeks to develop knowledge through applied GIS research, enrich education and curriculum for business schools, and provide outreach to the academic and professional community. Visit the GISAB website to learn more about its contribution to the University and the business community.
The Institute for Spatial Economic Analysis (ISEA) offers science and research-based spatial analysis and forecasts of economic phenomena. ISEA serves regional, national and global communities, focusing on areas of economic analysis that have a strong connection to the space people live in, such as employment and unemployment, housing, retail, logistics, and economic risk assessment. Updates on these topics are provided on a regular basis. Visit ISEA’s website to learn more about its maps and services.
The Master of Science in Geographic Information Systems Program (MS GIS) is designed for professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge of analysis, management, and communication of geographic information. It combines the development of strong technical skills and in-depth understanding of geographic information science and theory. The MS GIS program is based in the University’s College of Arts and Sciences and most of its students live together in University-owned housing, creating a living-learning environment. For more information about this residential, intense 11-month program, visit the MS GIS website.
