ESRI SOFTWARE ACCESS and USE
ESRI Software is provided to University of Redlands employees and currently registered students for educational, research and for ArcGIS, administrative purposes. This software may not be used for any commercial or for-profit purposes. Students may not use ESRI Software outside of the United States without prior written permission from ESRI.
ArcGIS Desktop and its extensions may be installed on any University-owned computer that is assigned to a faculty member for their professional use. ArcGIS Desktop may also be installed on a faculty member’s personal (home/private) computer, though no ITS support will be provided in these situations and faculty will need to consult with ITS to determine whether their computers are capable of running ArcGIS Desktop.
ArcGIS Desktop can also be installed on any student’s personal computer for use while the computer is connected to the University’s network, and students may borrow a Concurrent Use License for use while disconnected from the network. Students may also be provided with a CD/DVD of a one-year license of ArcGIS Desktop that can be installed on their own computers; this option may be preferable for non-residential students in the Schools of Education, Business, and Continuing Studies.
Business and Community Analyst Online, Business Analyst Desktop, and Business Analyst Server
Business Analyst Desktop may be installed on any University-owned computer that is assigned to a faculty member for their professional use. However, the Business Analyst Site License Add-On is intended for use by students and faculty in conjunction withinstructional and research purposes only, not for administrative or commercial use.
As is the case with other BA products, BAO access is provided for instructional and research purposes only, not for commercial use.
ESRI DATA ACCESS and USE
ESRI Data are provided to University of Redlands employees and students for educational, research and administrative purposes only. These data may not be used for any commercial purposes.
Data licensed with the Esri Business Analyst (BA) Premium and Business Analyst Server are restricted for use only with the Business Analyst extension. BA data may not otherwise be used with ArcGIS Desktop or ArcGIS Online software.
Employees and students may only use ESRI Data while actively employed or enrolled at the University of Redlands.
ESRI Data may not be redistributed. The user may not provide the digital data in any form (unprocessed/raw or processed/derived) to anyone who is not a current University of Redlands employee or student.
Derived cartographic and analytical products may be shared. Except as noted below, ESRI Data may be used to create and present new models, analyses, maps, graphs, charts and reports. Derived products may use and show ESRI Data only on the condition that no direct access is provided to the full, unprocessed data in the original ESRI data set. Because some data sets are provided to ESRI by third-party data vendors, uses of these data may be more limited. In these cases, derived products may be plotted, printed, or publicly displayed only with the proper metadata and source/copyright attribution to the respective data vendor/vendors. For any other uses and use constraints, the user must refer to the respective metadata of each individual data set.
The data and related materials are owned by ESRI and its licensor(s) and are protected by United States copyright laws and applicable international copyright treaties and/or conventions.
All data associated with this Business Analyst Site License Add-On may ONLY be used with its affiliated Business Analyst products, not ArcGIS Desktop.
By accessing, installing, using, or logging in to Esri resources, you agree that you will take responsibility for downloading or transferring ownership of my content.
Any misuse of ESRI Software will result in a permanent revocation of data and software access privileges.
